I rather fancied a day with fellow climbers (or walkers) so I persuaded to lovely Americans that I met to come with me. And I'm glad I did. Somehow it always adds excitment when you track a lone silverback with others ...
Sabinyo Gorge is stunningly beautiful with a variety of birdlife that I will come back for. And of course I still have Muburah to climb.

And so we spent an hour fresh on the heels of this lone mountain gorilla. We never did actually catch sight of it but each time we came across fresh poo it was steaming! Then at one point we saw all the undergrowth moving as he made his way deep into the bushes.
Very exciting. I'm told teh mountain gorillas here are much larger than those in Bwindi so I'll have to come back.
